ATAG's first split heat pump , the Energion S, is now available. This air-water heat pump extracts heat from the outside air via the outdoor unit and releases this heat via the indoor unit. Because it is a split version, the cooling circuit is split between the indoor and outdoor units. The Energion S is available in both hybrid and all-electric versions.

In the monobloc version, the entire cooling circuit is incorporated into the outdoor unit, reducing the amount of space required in the indoor unit. With the split unit, the cooling circuit is divided between the indoor and outdoor units. Unlike a monobloc heat pump, with a split heat pump this connection consists of refrigerant piping (R32). This requires smaller passages in the wall and makes connecting easier. In addition, some components have been moved from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit. This makes the outdoor unit of the Energion S approximately 10kg lighter and the Energion S indoor unit larger. Finally, the Energion S does not require an antifreeze kit because the central heating water does not go to the outdoor unit.

Energion S All-electric

The Energion S All-electric is a split air-water heat pump, eliminating the need for natural gas. Can optionally be supplied with an integrated 180L boiler for hot water. The floor standing unit features high efficiency and does its job quietly. Because it is a split unit, it has a lighter outdoor unit with smaller passages to the outside for the refrigerant R32.

Energion S Hybrid

The hybrid variant uses heat from the air and can heat, (optionally) cool and supply hot water by using both gas and electricity. This makes the Energion S Hybrid very suitable as a sustainable addition to the (existing or new) central heating boiler.
